Costumes, Hair and make-up
In pride and prejudice its set in the 19th century therefore all the women have long dresses often covered in jewels to represent their wealth but also the dresses show no skin leading the audience to see the time period. The men are upper class and were suits/tuxedo’s with waistcoats and often top hats again to show their wealth. The women have their hair often up in a bun to look smart and the men typically have short hair.
Compared to a modern TV show like the big bang theory it’s very different. The boys wear more casual clothes such as jeans and comical t-shirts with superhero patterns on them instead of the typical suits the men wore in the 19th century. The women in the big bang theory don’t tend to wear the long dresses and the costumes show more skin i.e short skirts.
